"Mystery Men" was great. Some classic Ben Stiller moments as Mr. Furious (whose only power is to get really, really angry) and William H. Macy as The Shoveler. And the villains are great: Cassanova Frankenstein and the Disco Boys!

I think it flopped at the box office, which is a shame because it succeeds both as superhero movie and as a comedy. Or maybe it ONLY succeeds as a superhero movie AND as a comedy, which is too small of a cross-section and doomed it.

Speaking of which, the Internet-only short film "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" (starring Neil Patrick Harris as the titular super villain) is priceless. Link: http://www.drhorrible.com/

By "Broken" I wonder if you mean "Unbreakable" with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson? Very interesting movie. A bit long and slow, and it the ending left me not quite satisfied, but it was very original (I didn't even realize it was a superhero movie at first) and certainly worth honorable mention.
